Paula Goulding - Solistin Bei Wettbewerben hat Paula schon unzählige Titel gewonnen, ihr primäres Augenmerk liegt jedoch im Bühnentanz. 1996 ist sie bei "Riverdance - The Show" eingestiegen und wurde 2000 Dance Captain bei der Broadway-Produktion. Nach diesem Engagement übernahm sie die Zweitbesetzung der weiblichen Hauptrolle in "Riverdance" und hat diese gerade erfolgreiche 12 Wochen in Dublins "Gaiety Theatre" getanzt.Sie hat die weibliche Hauptrolle auch schon für die Produktionen "Ragus - The Show", "Dancing Through The Ages" und "Bru Boru" getanzt. Paula begeistert das Publikum mit ihrer fehlerfreien Technik und bezaubert es gleichzeitig mit ihrer Haltung und ihrer Eleganz. Paula Goulding hails from Co. Waterford. She began dancing at the age of four and throughout her competitive years won numerous titles, but her interest has always been in performance. With the direction of her teacher Michael Ryan, she made several appearances on Irish television. Paula studied ‘Speech and Drama’ with the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art from 1987 until 1996 when she left to join “Riverdance—The Show”. Since joining Riverdance, she has toured Germany, England, Australia, Mexico, Canada and extensively throughout North America. In her time with the company she has been troupe member, dance captain of the Broadway production, choir member and understudy to the female lead. Before leaving the show in 2003 Paula featured in a tv commercial for ‘Marshall Fields’ department store, USA. Since returning home Paula has danced the lead with “Ragus—The Show”, “Dancing Feet” and is The Chieftans featured dancer. She performed in Dion Boucicault’s “The Shaughraun”, earlier this year in The Abbey Theatre, Dublin. She performed in and choreographed a show with Moving Hearts in France in September of 2004. Paula has also choreographed, directed and co-produced ‘Dancing thru the Ages’, which played to capacity audiences for its first summer run last year. Her other qualifications include pilates instruction, sports injury therapy, make-up artistry and style and image consultantcy. In 2006 Paula was one of the six celebrity dance instructors on reality TV show “Celebrity Jigs ‘n Reels” which was aired live over six weeks in Ireland. In this TV show celebrities were designated dance instructors and asked to learn Irish dancing in the space of six weeks. Each week one celebrity and their teacher got voted off the show by the people of Ireland. |
